following graph provides a pictorial representation of
BD systems that have been installed around the world to
date since the first ‘accidental’ installation
in 1981 (ref. Footprints01 newsletter,
Hans Vesterby’s article, page 5). Four of the original
systems were experimental and are no longer functioning
and one was de-commissioned after a neighboring nourishment
project rendered it redundant. Note that some projects
are made up of more than one BD module. |
